As I wrote in the last post, some pieces have been running on Doonesbury.com's new site called The Sandbox. I've had a great response already, and I appreciate you all reading and taking the time to write. I thought this was a good time for some updates...
My reading of "Fire in the Night" aired on NPR's Day to Day this morning. You can listen to the show at this link.
Also, the paper edition of the Writer's Blog Anthology is now available form Lulu. Click here to buy or download.
Spare time has been elusive, running out before me like a plastic grocery bag in the chaotic wind before a thunderstorm. I keep trying to defeat the hours - to carve silent moments out of my days, but it is of no use. I generally get the solitude I need to write only before the kids get up (very early) or after they're asleep (when I'm tired too). But I make do with what I have. It works out just fine. Being a single Dad is rewarding, but it's also a challenge.
Finally, I know I haven't been posting much new material (see above whining about time), but I am working on some new and exciting projects, and I do have some new material for both this blog, and the new blog. More details to follow.
For my new readers, rather than have you scan down through these last few "administrative entries," allow me to give you two links which I posted at times when I knew I wouldn't be able to post for a while. These will give you quick access to a broad variety of posts from the last year and half, and my experience in the war:
There's this one, and this one
As always, thanks for reading -
